Hi everyone, I am really interested in Essential Oils but am a total novice. I have been looking through the blogs but I would love if someone could answer my questions personally: What is a good price to pay per ounce? What sort of oils are most popular? Are there any ingredients I should be looking for or to avoid? What is the best brand to buy from? Thank you in advance, really looking forward to getting started Cheers James (from Australia)

Hi there! I suggest you read this book about essential oils for beginners. It has all the tips and what to look for in buying essential oils. It suggests the purest ones and where to find them too.

Hi, James, I am also new but I'll share what I have learned so far. If you are already reading blogs online or books, that is a good start
Pricing is different for each essential oil. Some factors that affect pricing: the source, manufacturer, the way of extraction, etc. If it's too cheap, think twice but expensive ones don't necessarily mean that they are the purest. Lavender is always number one. Here are some popular oils; Eucalyptus, Frankincense, Lemon, Peppermint. Are there any ingredients I should be looking for or to avoid? - If the label states another ingredient other than the essential oil, then it's not pure. What is the best brand to buy from? - I can't answer this, but I started with doTerra, and I have Eden's Garden.
